Initial situation
Development of a blow gun for professional workshop use under high pressure conditions. The aim was to create a robust, ergonomically optimised and permanently sealed solution in a highly competitive market segment.
Challenge
High pressure loads with corresponding sealing requirements. Prevention of leaks in screwed housing halves. Continuous loading in industrial use. Ergonomics for repeated manual opening. Demouldability and controlled wall thicknesses in injection moulding. Formal restrictions due to design requirements.
Solution
Development of a one-piece, solid housing. Interior spaces are created using slides. Formal design with strict consideration of draft angles. Ergonomic handle geometry despite design restrictions. Defined angle between nozzle and handle to protect the wrist. Reusable hanging mechanism.
Result
Ergonomic optimisation despite strict design restrictions. Differentiation in the market through technical integrity and attention to detail.
